Why do the streets of Edinburgh say EWW? A fun joke about sewers being icky? I got obsessed for two weekends and found the answer. |

It all goes back to the Edinburgh Water Works, and the aftermath of the Black Death. I even found some great etchings from the National Archives of Scotland. |
